LANDR Mobile App

A second chance at making a first impression

LANDR has been a trailblazer in AI audio mastering since 2014. Our first mobile app, launched in 2016, didn’t quite hit the right notes ;) Fast forward to late 2023, and we saw a golden opportunity: LANDR’s features had grown, and musicians needed a better way to collaborate on the go. It was time to give the mobile app another shot—this time, with a laser focus on collaboration.

This project ran alongside other initiatives, so we needed a lean, high-impact team. I was the product designer on a small but mighty squad: Alban, our project manager, and two iOS/Android developers, Ludovic and Loïc.

The team moved at a fast iteration pace, allowing me to test designs quickly and catch issues early. This agility was key to refining our solutions. Once we were confident, we put the app to the test with a closed Beta release.

After squashing bugs, polishing the final details, and checking all the required boxes, we finally hit the app stores!

Expanding LANDR to mobile wasn’t just about reaching more users, it was about creating a space where musicians could collaborate effortlessly.

The numbers spoke for themselves. Since launching a year ago, we’ve seen 317K+ downloads across iOS and Android, with a 4.79-star rating from happy users. We’ve also introduced in-app purchases, unlocking a new revenue stream for the company.
